When does the business actually need power?
A business running through the daylight hours has a different demand pattern from an evening venue or a seasonal site. The useful starting point is consumption during operating hours, not simply the size of the roof.
Establish roof rights
Ownership, lease terms, shared facilities and future roof work can affect the project. Identify who can approve the work and what access restrictions apply.
Separate generation and resilience
Lower daytime grid use and keeping a critical process running through an outage are different objectives. Storage and backup loads need their own design discussion.
Bring operations into the first conversation.
Your opening hours alone may not capture the larger loads. Refrigeration can continue after closing, while machinery may run only on particular days. Record these patterns and identify any expected changes, such as additional equipment or longer shifts.
We help turn that information into a qualified brief. The appointed implementation partner then evaluates the electrical connection, layout, roof conditions and proposed system. We do not infer a technically suitable capacity from a photograph or a bill total.
Compare a complete scope, not a panel count.
For a commercial proposal, ask how the design relates to the operating profile and how it deals with periods of low on-site demand. Ask what is included for mounting, protection, cabling, testing and utility coordination, and what remains outside the price.
Felicity Solar inverter and storage options should be named by exact model in the proposal. Phase arrangement, compatible batteries, operating limits and any backup circuits need explicit confirmation. “Hybrid” is not a complete specification.
Plan the handover before installation.
Nominate the person responsible for the site, access and handover. The written proposal should identify who owns installation, permits, warranty registration and after-sales, along with the documents and operating information to be supplied.
If export to the grid is being considered, utility assessment is a separate project dependency. Meralco’s net-metering process includes technical evaluation and grid-safety checks. Do not treat a commercial quotation as permission to energise a system.
